Will
Animal Allsorts take my pet?
Animal Allsorts Rescue is a small charity which has limited
room with foster carers for pets and is nearly always at
capacity, as such when choosing which dogs to care for it needs
to prioritise which pets have most need. Please
note the rescue is not able to take any more small animals until
further notice.
First and foremost are sick, injured or at
risk animals which includes dogs which are past their 7
day waiting period in local council pounds who would otherwise be
put to sleep without a rescue space. The rescue
will then help people where it can who are in desparate
need of rehoming a pet to prevent it having to be put into
the dogs home where it will become stressed and at risk of being
put to sleep if it can't be rehomed. The rescue will also try to
help in situations such as bereavements and in emergency situations
for short-term fostering when referred by an agency worker, for
example with victims of domestic violence. Lowest priority
is given to financially able people who are able to care for their
pet and not in any immediate need and just want to find their pet
another home. In these circumstances we can help by advertising
your pet as free to a good home on the internet
but you should insist on a donation made to a charity to show commitment
towards long term commitment to the pet.
If you want the rescue to take in your pet you
will have to talk to Theresa directly on 0121 628
9825 regarding the circumstances of your pet and possibly to await
room in the rescue.
If you have an animal that you want to rehome we can feature
your pet on this site as 'free to a good home'
on the pet adoption page and free
to good home page, but list the dog as being 'in own
home'. Theresa will not assess the animal, or perform a
home check and the responsibility is on the indivudals to ensure
safe transfer of the animal, and that the prospective new owner
is suitable and has adequate room and time for the dog. This service
is provided without responsibility as no home checks,
veterinary checks, pet assessments, are carried out by the rescue,
unless specifically requested.
This service is provided free of charge, and all
animals must be 'free to good home' and not for sale,
it is to help pets find another home locally around the
West Midlands area. If any individual would like to make
a donation to the rescue upon rehoming an animal it would be gratefully
appreciated. Caring for a pet is expensive, and it would generally
not be good practice to give pets away for free which is why we
suggest a small donation to a charity is made as
a token of good will as commitment to care for
the pet.
If you have a pet you would like us to feature on
the adoption page (while it remains in your own home), please goto
the contact page and send us the pets details.
Please include good quality images of your pet, the pets name, breed,
age, medical history, temperament, whether it has been neutered,
vaccinated, good with cats, other dogs, children, good on lead,
good recall, etc as well as contact email and telephone number of
who to contact.
If you want to rehome the pet yourself then here are some websites
you could use: Preloved,
VivaStreet,
Pets 4 Homes and on other advertising websites that deal with pets.
