About
Us
Animal Allsorts is a small charity
in Birmingham, UK which cares
for and rehomes unwanted, abandoned dogs & cats
around the West Midlands area. Animal Allsorts
also acts as a sanctuary for some dogs and cats
and also other small animals such as chipmunks, ferrets, rabbits
and also birds.
Animal Allsorts is run entirely by unpaid volunteers,
the organisation has been rescuing animals for over 20 years but
Animal Allsorts became a registered charity in
May 2002. The rescue does not use kennels, the
animals are kept in foster homes whilst Animal
Allsorts provide everything for the animal until a suitable permanent
loving home can be found. Visits to see the animals are by appointment
only by contacting Theresa on telephone 0121 628 9825.
A lot of the animals the charity cares for cannot be rehomed for
various reasons, they maybe lost & waiting to be reclaimed,
under assessment, are sick or have difficulty walking or require
a lot of daily care. Animal Allsorts adopts a non destruction
policy with pets but if an animal is suffering badly and
the vet advises nothing can be done it will be humanely put to sleep.
Some animals will stay at Animal Allsorts the rest of their lives.
| Before being rehomed all pets are: |
|
- ID microchipped
- neutered or spayed
- fully vaccinated
- flea & worm treated |

Animal Allsorts proudly looks after Mushroom,
the adorable loving dog which we rescued from the dogs home. Mushroom
had a problem with his eyes and we raised the £5k+ needed
to spend on eye operations so he could keep his sight
and he will require ongoing eye care for the rest of his life. The
rescue is very grateful to the members of the public who donated
to save mushrooms sight and thank you to the people
who donate to so we can afford to keep the rescue running to care
for the animals.
Animal Allsorts supports the neutering and
spaying of animals to try to cut down on the numer of litters
to prevent the unnecessary euthanasia of the many
unwanted pets across the country in kennels. Over
20 dogs are needlessly put to sleep every day because nobody wants
them, whilst people continue to unscrupulously breed for profit,
please adopt a dog from a rescue shelter rather than buying a puppy
from a breeder. Please ensure you never buy a dog from a puppy
farm.
Animal Allsorts is a small charity,
all funds raised go directly to helping the animals. Please consider
making a donation to help the charity care for
more animals, every bit helps no matter how small. The rescue relies
on donations from the public to fund the food & veterinary care
for the animals. This website is built & maintained by an unpaid
volunteer, 100% of advertising revenue goes directly to
the charity.
